D’Artagnan, a cadet’s diary, sets out to tell the “true” story of d’Artagnan: that of an indecisive, naive and somewhat clumsy young man, with far from idyllic relationships with his three companions.

This imposing 272-page work explores virtually the entire story of Dumas’ novel, but entirely adopts d’Artagnan’s point of view, like a diary.
