The purpose of the association is to develop projects based on the image of d’Artagnan in order to promote the department of the Gers (France) and exploit its socio-cultural, economic and tourist potential.

Created in January 2023, the association’s founding members are the French government, the Occitanie region, the Gers département, and the Pays d’Armagnac, Pays d’Auch, Pays Portes de Gascogne and Pays Val d’Adour regional economic development clusters (PETR), the communities of communes of d’Artagnan en Fezensac and Ténarèze, the communes of Condom and Lupiac, and the associations D’Artagnan chez d’Artagnan, Route Européenne d’Artagnan, Compagnie des Mousquetaires d’Armagnac, Société Archéologique et historique du Gers, and Gers
development.
